HOLIDAYS Christmas 2011

Christmas time is one of my favorite times of the year. Mainly because it's a "time of year", it's not just a one day holiday. It's a time of year when people become generous. They remember how to treat other human beings. We as a society seem to become more as ONE as we should be. It's a time to remember the real meaning of Christmas and the birth of a child who will grow up to follow his Father's plan and atone for all of our sins. What a wonderful TIME OF YEAR!

Christmas Happenings:
Decorating the tree.
Making chocolate covered marshmallows with sprinkles!

Shyla and her friend Lecia decorating cookies (they tasted great even with the mounds of frosting on top).
The favorite activity of the season was making peanut butter balls. Thank you to someone special (DeEtte) for passing along the recipe!

Out around the neighborhood searching for decorative houses with great lights.

This picture and the 2 above are from the same 2 houses. They super decorate with a live Santa and photos, they take donations of food, clothing, or toys, and have lights set to music.
Took the kids to have breakfast with Santa at Antioch Golf Course.
Christmas Day:

After presents and breakfast at our place, we met Candy Grandma at my parents place with my brother for a delicious steak dinner. My mom doesn't like to be traditional. Can't complain about the steak though, it's awesome! I'm not sure how, but I didn't get a photo of me or Jake. Hmm, note to self for next year...DON'T FORGET :)
