HOLIDAYS October 2011 - November 2011

Halloween - We did a lot of stuff. Not all of it was captured in pictures. Aside from the pictures shown, there was also dressing up in school and our ward Halloween party.
At the local pumpkin patch. We had seen this LARGE slide off the freeway for a while.  There was no way we were leaving before Shyla had a chance to ride it. Bigger, faster, higher for that girl! Malachi went all the way to the top and got scared so he had to walk back down the stairs. That to me would be more scary. That slide was pretty high.
Saying "cheese" next to a teepee.
After the pumpkin patch, we stopped off at a convalescent hospital near our house for trick or treating. I love the people that are there. They are always excited and the kids enjoyed meeting them and saying hi.
Shyla's (and Malachi's) friend Taylor came trick or treating with us.
There were a few houses that had scary decorations and/or  people dressed up in scary costumes. Shyla kept her distance from those doors. Jacob braved it... until he realized he was scared, then he high tailed it out of there!
The end of the night!

Thanksgiving - Just the way events panned out, we got to celebrate with 2 Thanksgiving dinners this year. The first was with Jake's side of the family. The second with mine.

 GILROY-

Jacob had to make sure he got his turn playing with his Great Uncle Bruce.
Smile, you're on camera :)

Shyla being, herself. I wouldn't want it another way, because then she wouldn't be her and we love her.

It wouldn't be right to have a gathering with Jake's family and NOT have a marshmallow fight. Malachi enjoyed collecting as many as he could, while Jacob ran around eating as many as he could.
VISALIA-
The gang. We're still loosing one a year, but that just makes it more important to get together!
Table 2 of 3.
David brought his roommate this year. He is a talker, but a nice guy.
In Uncle Bobby's backyard.
Rememberance of Grandma Dottie and Grandpa Johnny. Ryan made Grandma's yummy broccoli. I've tried to cook like her and I just don't have the special love that she did. One day I hope They were hotties in their younger years. I miss them both so much  it's often hard to put into words the way they have impacted my life.
