Shyla was starting to outgrow her first "big girl" bed. Her toddler bed. She probably could've stayed in it a little longer, but we thought it was a good time to make the switch. We thought we'd get her used to being in a bigger bed before we got her a bedframe.
Fast forward to July 2011, Jake was at a job and came across a decent day bed bedframe. He brought it home for Shyla and she LOVED it! I don't have a picture of it at the moment, but stay tuned in future postings, I'm sure it'll pop up. 
We put a princess tent over the bed. Shyla got it for her 2nd birthday and has pretty much been asking me to put it on her bed ever since. She likes to be in it, but wants me to take it off when she goes to bed. Yeah, not gonna happen every night. She's had to settle for putting some of her stuffed animals in there with her to keep her company. She likes that. Whew! :)
