Growth Spurt at 6 Weeks

I can only assume Jacob is going through a growth spurt. Today he's 6 weeks old. What I've read about them in a nutshell is:

1. They happen at 4-7 days, 10 days, 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and 9 months
BUT: The ages may differ from child to child

2. They show signs of nursing more (or more bottles)
OR: They may not.

3. They are fussy.
OR: They may not be.

4. They may sleep more.
OR: Less.

5. It may last for 2-3 days.
BUT: May last up to a week or longer.

I'm thinking my guess is as good as anyone elses it seems.

Since about Saturday, the little man has been cranky whenever he's put down, he doesn't want to sleep much (where a few days ago he'd nap more during the day), when he does sleep it's not very long (except at night, his habits haven't changed at night just during the day.) and today he wanted to nurse like every 1 1/2 hours or so. Supposedly the "signs" stop as abruptly as they started.

In any event, after being awake from about 8:00am he finally crashed out at 3:30pm. Up again at 5:00pm to eat then back out around 7:00pm. Seems he was back to his normal schedule by this time.
