After the party and naps and more rest for mamma, we decided it was mellow enough to go look at the Christmas lights around town. There are 2 houses in particular in Antioch that just out-do themselves each year. There was a Santa outside one of them but daddy had to get the candycane since Shyla only wanted to see Santa from afar. They both collect donations for different organizations which I think is wonderful. One of them even has their lights flashing to music.
At the time of our arrival there were carolers across the street to help put everyone in the Christmas spirit. I think perhaps due to the economy, "Christmas light stalking" I like to call it, seems to have been the thing to do this year. Last year there were many people checking out these particular lights, although, this year there were about 4 times as many!

This house is on Greystone.
Here isn't another house that we found in Antioch. I can't remember the name of the street but it's off Deer Valley over by Bluerock. It has a Santa that you can see on the left side of the next picture. He was on a timer and Santa would rise and lower automatically. Shyla loved this one and would wave "bye bye" and say "Hi, Santa!" each time he came out or lowered.

We drove around for about an hour and a half. It was a cold night but we all bundled up and enjoyed spending some family time together "Christmas light stalking".

Wow! You guys found some great houses. Seems like Antioch got into the holiday spirit a little more then Oakley did. Next year you'll have to tell me where the good houses are.
