Shyla's Distractions

We sometimes have a lot of things we have to do for work and the only way we can make it work for us is if we bring Shyla with us. We've got a system down for the days we bring her to work and it's working out beautifully. On this particular day, we found this car at the jobsite. Shyla loved it and became attached right away. We let her play with it outside for a while. She'd open and close the doors and climb in and out... she did this for quite some time. I was actually surprised at how long she can play with just 1 toy. This job was in Pittsburg and it was really hot, so as it warmed up we turned on the AC in the house and inside Shyla AND the car went. It was fun to see her so happy with something. She pushed the car all over the house. No, we didn't bring this item home... it was too dirty. I tried to clean it up but saw that it was a battle I didn't want to take on, so it laid to rest at the dumps!

This job was in Antioch. We found a scooter and childs bike in the backyard. Her feet didn't even reach the pedals so we just pushed her around in the backyard. Same scenario as in Pittsburg. Shyla played outside until it was too warm, then inside she went with the AC! Lucky girl!

I'm so happy that our job has been able to keep us together with Shyla. Even though we are busy, we are lucky enough to be able to bring her with us. She gets to experience so many new and exciting things at each house. Yeah, she gets dirty too, but that's part of what I love so much about it. SHE GETS TO BE A KID!

(We have a job coming up in Brentwood, I'm sure she'll score big there, it's a big house and plenty of stuff to get into.)
