Foreclosure Crisis

This is just a snippit of what we deal with all day for work. Working with REO properties we've come across many, many, MANY foreclosed homes. It's sad to see each day how many once beautiful homes have turned into such a mess. This one is in Antioch. It sold just a couple years ago for over $900k! I highly doubt that it would sell for even close to that now. Here is what it looked like before:

It is not uncommon for people to steal cars and stash them in an REO home, to break doors and windows to get inside and have a party, break the sheetrock in the bathrooms to steal the copper from the pipes, or to live in a trailor that is on the property and steal power that the bank is paying for. As "undesireable" as things may seem though, we enjoy what we are doing and each day brings something new. This job is interesting and rewarding in it's own way.
