ASL, Special Visit, and Helping Mommy

Shyla learned a new sign today: BANANA. She absolutely loves bananas so I'm surprised it took this long to learn the word. She's up to about 15 or so signs already. She has recently began to eat her bananas on her own, we just have to peel it for her. She will grip the banana and eat away. When it gets to low, she somehow still eats at it. Now we have to teach her how to peel her banana when it gets too low.

After breakfast, we got ready to go visit our friend Jenny. She's pregnant and on bedrest so we went to entertain her. She's due January 1st and we're super excited! Shyla found some dish gloves in Jenny's cabinets that she wanted to play with.

Later on in the evening while Jake was at class, Shyla helped me to move some of the furniture around. She loves to play inside of this cabinet, so she played in there while I worked. She's going to be very upset when she wakes up in the morning to find shelves have been added inside and she can't play in there anymore.
